Gstaad’s Crown Jewel: Unrivalled Ski Excellence and Culinary Innovation

When it comes to pristine pistes, Bergbahnen Destination Gstaad AG (BDG) has done well; infact exceptionally well. The recent accolades from the International Skiareatest solidify BDG as the undisputed winner in Switzerland, securing them the prestigious title of “Skiareatest Winner 2023 Switzerland” at the 28th Winter Awards.

Walter Reichenbach, Head of Piste and Rescue Services, proudly accepted three awards on behalf of BDG. The Snowmaking Trophy, Slope Groomer Trophy, and the International Slope Quality Seal were a testament to the dedication and expertise of his team. Inspectors were thoroughly impressed by the exceptional quality of the groomed pistes during their anonymous evaluations.

The overarching title of “Ski Area Test Winner 2023 Switzerland” is a well-deserved acknowledgement of commitment to providing ud with top-tier skiing experiences.

Honours Beyond the Slopes
A special award for the promotion of young talent was shared by Skifuture Saanenland and Stade de Slalom Rougemont. Both entities has demonstrated exemplary dedication to creating optimal training conditions for young skiers.

Rougemont Ski School, earning the title “Ski School of the Year 2023 Newcomer” from the International Ski Council, adds another feather to Gstaad’s cap.

Star chef Martin Göschel was crowned “Chef of the Year” for his sustainable commitment to the “Offcut Foodtruck,” stationed on the Vorderer Eggli for the second winter.

Food Innovation on the Eggli
