Rougemont interiors move to Saanen
16.02.2024 Local News, Luxury, Business, LifestyleAs we sit down in Pascale’s corner office, it’s easy to see why you would be touched by a bit of nostalgia at the thought of leaving after a decade as the interior shop on the Promenade in Gstaad. It’s very elegant and cosy at the same time, the perfect mix of showroom and office that instantly makes me feel at home.
“It’s a natural evolution of what Rougemont Interiors has become”, Pascale Heuberger tells me, “And manifesting that change is, of course, always easier with a move of location, especially when it’s due to positive developments. We, as a company, have changed focus from shop and smaller interior jobs and home styling to taking on full interior projects on equal terms with the architects that build the houses.”
Expanding with an additional location in Zurich is a testament to the commitment of the clientele, and the style has evolved from alpine mountain design into something more than just a holiday “feel”.
“I am inspired by what I see and I love the beauty and quietness of the mountains, but also the coastal regions; take the Hamptons, for example – the light and textures of sand dunes, tall grasses and the classic wooden structures resonate with me”, says Pascale. And I guess, somewhere between the mountain and coastal areas, you have the cosmopolitan cities with the big city buzz and contemporary trends. Combining these two surely is one of the secrets to her success.
Rougemont Interiors on the Promenade will be open until the end of March. New location in Saanen will be on Marktgässli 5.
