New group practice makes major strides towards opening
12.07.2024 Local News, Healthcare, NewsUpdateThe SarinaMed group practice, which extends to the old Saanen hospital, is ready to go. The first specialist staff members have been recruited, and the extensive renovation work has been successfully completed. The opening date will be announced soon.
The founding of SarinaMed AG was announced back in January, and the project is now taking shape with significant progress. According to a press release from SarinaMed AG, the biggest challenge has been overcome: recruiting specialised staff. The need for experienced MPAs for the start-up phase has already been covered. The recruitment of doctors is also well underway: two doctors have already been hired and will be introduced in the coming weeks, marking a significant step forward in the journey.
Renovations completed for seamless operations
As the group practice will be realised on the premises of the extension building, a wide range of renovation work has been carried out. In particular, the entrance/ reception, laboratory, and medicine storage areas have been renovated to ensure that the practice runs smoothly. In addition, new floors have been laid, the consulting rooms and the waiting room were renovated, and the practice was equipped with new fixtures and cutting-edge, state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring the highest quality of service.
This important progress and prerequisites for the opening are due not least to the active work of the municipality’s existing networks, Gstaad International Healthcare AG, the managing director, and the strong support from the population.
Dr. med. Rolf Zundel was appointed to the Board of Directors of SarinaMed AG and tasked with setting up the practice. Zundel brings a wealth of experience as a doctor and practice operator to the organization. SarinaMed AG was founded as an independent company to ensure the establishment and operation of a family medicine group practice on the premises of the old Saanen hospital. The municipality of Saanen and Gstaad International Healthcare AG launched this initiative in response to the acute shortage of GPs in Saanenland.
