Slopesound Festival

A new music festival will kick off on the slopes in the Saanenmöser ski area, from 14 to 17 March. “1 weekend, 5 locations, 15 acts and 1000 good vibes” – that’s the motto of the Slopesound Festival.

From Thursday evening to Sunday afternoon, there will be numerous concerts on (snow) stages in the Igloo Village, Pasatiempo, Lochstafel, Why Knot and the Horny Bar. Live bands of various styles will provide a rousing vibe, while DJs will set the mood later in the evening.

When Blues Comes to Town

On 24 February, the Zweisimmen Jazz Club is hosting George Steinmann, a very experienced blues musician and visual artist. Performing the Mississippi Blues at the Catholic Church.

On April 6th, the Jazz Club will wrap up its 30th -anniversary concert series with a performance by French blues harp player Amaury Faivre. Many attendees still vividly recall his remarkable performance from last year.

Easter music in the church of Saanen

Experience the Saanen Easter Concerts, featuring Orchestra degli Amici and Project Choir Saaner Osterkonzerte under the direction of Michael S. Bach & Deborah Reber, with concertmaster Simone Roggen.

Enjoy Joseph Haydn’s Concerto in E-flat Major for trumpet and orchestra with soloist Simon Gabriel and gripping choral pieces by Daniel Schutte, John Rutter, and Jim Papoulis. Don’t miss Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy’s Symphony No. 5 in D Major.

Good Friday, 29 March, and Easter Saturday, 30 March, at 5:00 PM at Saanen Church.

Following the concerts, the Saanen village organisation offers an aperitif for concertgoers, guests and regulars. The event takes place from 18:45 on the village square in Saanen.
