13.08.2024 Arts & Culture, Concerts, Arts & Culture, Traditions

For its 35th anniversary edition, Country Night Gstaad presents a musically exceptional line-up. The award-winning group Little Big Town will honour the renowned country festival this year. Chapel Hart and Tyler Booth complete the anniversary line-up.

The very first Country Night took place in Gstaad in 1989, featuring legends like Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty. For the 35th edition, the organisers have remained true to their vision, engaging top acts from America. The highly awarded group Little Big Town, consisting of members Karen Fairchild, Phillip Sweet, Kimberly Schlapman, and Jimi Westbrook, first entered the music scene over 20 years ago. Their groundbreaking albums Tornado and Pain Killer produced several No. 1 singles. Their 2017 album The Breaker debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Charts and received critical acclaim. The album includes their GRAM-MY-winning, multi-week No. 1 single “Better Man” and the 2019 GRAMMY-nominated “When Someone Stops Loving You.” In September 2022, they released their tenth studio album, Mr. Sun, which debuted as the top country album by a group in 2022. They will perform in Switzerland for the first time.

Chapel Hart gained significant recognition in the summer of 2022 with their performances on America's Got Talent, where they placed fifth. Chapel Hart uniquely blends their Mississippi roots and Louisiana spirit, sharing their gift with audiences worldwide. Kentucky-born newcomer Tyler Booth has already shared the stage with music giants such as Willie Nelson, Darius Rucker, Brooks & Dunn, and Dwight Yoakam. His distinctive and rich baritone voice, coupled with authentic songwriting, makes his live show a thrilling experience.

In addition to the main stage concerts, the 35th Country Night Gstaad offers visitors a rich supporting program throughout the festival grounds. On Sunday, September 8, a grand parade through the village will be organised – more details about the complete anniversary program can be found on the website. JEANETTE WICHMANN
