Gstaad takes center stage at "SRF bi de Lüt"
21.01.2025 Gstaad LivingOn Saturday, February 1, 2025, Gstaad will host the popular Swiss television show “SRF bi de Lüt – Live”, transforming the village into a vibrant stage for this winter festival. Hosted by Fabienne Gyr and Salar Bahrampoori, the live broadcast will feature prominent guests and personalities from the Gstaad holiday region. The event will take place at the Gstaad ice rink area and is open to the public free of charge.
The program includes a variety of performances and segments that showcase local culture and talent. Musical acts such as Gölä and the Schwiizergoofe will provide entertainment, while the Lauenen Yodeling Club, accompanied by Schöre Müller from the band Span, will present traditional Swiss music. Additionally, skiing legend Mike von Grünigen will make a special appearance, sharing insights from his illustrious career.
The show will also delve into intriguing stories from the Gstaad region. Artisans Sandra Walker and Regina Martin will demonstrate traditional crafts, showing the area’s rich heritage. The Gstaad Palace will provide behind-the-scenes insights, and there will be features on the Montreux-Oberland Railway and a video of the reenactment of the village fire with Gottfried von Siebenthal at the Saanen Museum.
The festivities commence on Friday, January 31, with “hot rehearsals” from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a festival restaurant featuring culinary chalets and an ice bar operating from 2:30 PM to midnight. A full run-through with presenters and extras is scheduled from 7:00 PM to 9:15 PM.
On Saturday, 1 February, the festival restaurant and ice bar will open at 1:00 PM, offering a diverse culinary experience in typical chalets, organised by the local committee in collaboration with regional partners. Continuous rehearsals will take place from 1:00 PM, with a dress rehearsal scheduled from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The live broadcast of “SRF bi de Lüt – Live from Gstaad” will air from 8:10 PM to 10:20 PM. Following the live show, attendees can enjoy an after-party with DJ Besford until midnight.
