The number of new coronavirus infections is constantly increasing. When asked how Zweisimmen hospital is dealing with the worsening situation, Maria-Anne Perrot, head of communication and marketing STS AG, gives the following answer: "The crisis management team of Spital STS AG decided some time ago that the hospitalisations due to Covid-19 disease would be concentrated at Thun Hospital. At the moment, the capacities in Thun are still sufficient for such a concentration of inpatient admissions." According to the decision, no Covid-19 patients are currently being cared for in Zweisimmen hospital.

Test capacities for the Saanenland and Obersimmental are currently sufficient at Zweisimmen hospital. A maximum of 44 tests per day can be carried out. This figure is based on the availability of infrastructure, material and personnel. "At this point, I would like to point out that an appointment made in advance is absolutely necessary for a test," emphasises Perrot. Nobody should spontaneously go to Zweisimmen hospital with the wish to take a corona test.
