“We have recognised the problem”, said the president of the village organisation Niclas Baumer. The managing director of Gstaad Saanenland Tourism, Flurin Riedi, adds: “We have set up a working group to deal with all these problems as well as the opening hours. A meeting will be held soon to seek solutions.”
Without the integrated post office, the tourism office will have difficulties to remain open with only nine people visiting on average per day for tourist purposes. The fourfold amount, 36 people, come by for the postal services.
